Robotdalen – Going for Growth!In Robotdalen (Robot Valley) companies collaborate with the academic and public institutions of Södermanland, Västmanland and Örebro counties. Together we have secured the Mälardalen region in its position as a world leader in the manufacturing, research and development of robot-based automation. Robotdalen is dedicated to creating growth by supporting the development of new products and companies within the following areas: In each area a number of research- and development projects are executed in a wide range of organizations such as local SME:s, hospitals, global companies like ABB, Volvo and Atlas Copco and at Örebro university and Mälardalen university. The goal is to create 30 new companies, 30 new products and 1000 new jobs by 2013. Robotdalen is a winner of the VINNVÄXT prize awarded by VINNOVA (the Swedish Government Agency for Innovation Systems). VINNOVA is investing in the development of regions in Sweden that are competitive on a global region.
